Kala also just pulled this one out of Madhammer, Dae is a combat medic and keeps to the theme of finding disgruntled shorter lived races. She specifically works for Madhammer because she doesn't like the elven dominance of her profession in the major empires, nor their hiring criteria often keeping to the long lived sort. Though this did still prevent her from becoming a normal doctor and relegated her to the military professions, hence combat medic.

In general Dae is a pretty casual person, she's seen enough stuff to not really be shocked by anything anymore. She's not terribly comfortable in combat situations but can still pull herself through it. So basically a normal person unlike some of our other military people.
