Science (General)

Grants the character a bonus to general science rolls.

Adaptation

Can allocate up to a total of X points into one or more standard templates at will.

Annihilator

This character can attack X number of targets simultaneously every round. Deals double damage to non-heroic characters.

Arcane

This character has access to # tier arcane spells. Arcane casters gain matchup benefits against complex scenarios due to the adaptability of their school of magic and its immense utility features.

Arsenal

Can shift up to X points into offense or defense as desired and declare weapon/armor types as desired. Can upgrade colors instead of enhancing number as desired. Upgrading to green costs 1, blue 2, purple 3 (so going from white to purple costs 6). Must be done from point of resupply.

Backstab

X bonus to offense during first attack if this character has advantage. Can be contested or enabled by the Quickdraw template.

Bluff

Character is an oddly talented liar. Particularly good for social infiltration.

Block

This character can make a skillcheck with # bonus. If successful this character takes the damage an ally would have taken instead. Does not work against Mass Destruction.

Bodyguard

This template can be used to sacrifice its # of defense to increase a targets defense # instead.

Captain

Gains a bonus to captain rolls in ship combat if they are in command of that ship.

Combined Ops

Bonus during mass combat of # for each faction on allied team with this character.

Conduit

Can use a modified version of Pandem's embody bind that allows for temporary mild possession. Can borrow templates from host with this ability.

Dare to Dream

# per encounter, automatically succeed a roll or win any contested roll.

Deity

Cannot be disabled by any ability that disables templates. Cannot die unless killed on their own plane. Cannot be killed on their own plane unless they have no pandem binds remaining. Necrocarnum can seal this character away, but not destroy them without destroying their native plane. Deity characters have their own higher plane that they can manipulate at will. Access to entire divine spellbook barring deity specific spells, has their own set of deity specific spells. Every pandem bind to a deity empowers the deity further instead of splitting their strength.

Destroyer

Deals # extra damage on successful offense.

Disruptor

Can negate up to # of target template. Legendary templates cost more to negate.

Duelist

In conflict with an opposing hero, increase offense by X.

Durable

Has X extra hit points.

Godbound

User can cast healing magic.

Incarnum

This character has access to # tier incarnum spells and abilities. Incarnum can never be disarmed even by the disruptor template. Incarnum tends to gain situational bonuses whenever their durability is called into question or in melee combat.

Intimidation

This character imposed a penalty of # to the offense of all enemy characters.

Necrocarnum

This character has access to # tier necrocarnum spells and abilities. Necrocarnum can never be disarmed even by the disruptor template. Necrocarnum functions similarly to incarnum for situational bonuses, but often is prerequisite for access to another kind of broken ability.

Heroic Ops

In squad combat, +1 to offense or defense for each individual heroic character to be distributed to allies.

Inescapable

If an opponent tries to flee combat against this template, subtract # from their rolls.

Joint Ops

All allied heroes gain +x/+x.

Knowledge

Tends to be very specific to working within whatever situation that knowledge happens to be useful. Also being able to know obscure things and provide accurate exposition.

Lifesteal

Recover # health whenever dealing successful melee damage.

Lucid Conduit

When empowered by the lucid ritual, gain # offense and defense.

Mass Destruction

Gain # bonus to offense in mass combat rolls. Gain half bonus in small combat at the cost of collateral damage.

No Man Alive

All allied heroes from the same faction gain # bonus to offense stat.

No Man Behind

All allied heroes from the same faction gain # bonus to defense stat.

Pilot

Bonus to piloting checks when this character is piloting a ship.

Psionics

This character has access to # tier psionic spells. Psionic casters tend to gain matchup benefits when complex teamwork is involved and in computer based situations.

Quickdraw

This character attacks first unless someone with the same template has a higher number.

Sahad

This character has access to # tier sahad spells. No one knows what this is really useful for yet besides raw destruction and FTL travel.

Slayer

When attacking a studied target with preparation time, increase offense and critical range by X. When defending gain half bonus. Character must have 5 stamina available.

Summoner

Can use Summon Monster X times simultaneously. Summoned monsters are -2/-2 soldiers.

Synapse

All team buffs are twice as effective on holder and (# * 10) allies.

Stealth

Bonus to avoid being noticed when it is not desired to be noticed.

Zankou

This character has access to # tier zankou spells. Zankou cannot be disarmed even by the disruptor template. Zankou practitioners tend to gain matchup benefits when melee combat is involved. Prerequisite for certian style templates.

Pandem

This character has access to X tier pandem spells. Pandem casters are able to open rifts to other planes and create binds with other creatures to access their powers at the cost of accumulating pandem corruption, disrupting their ability to use arcane, psionic, and sahad magics and technologies.

Resistance (Fire)

This character has a resistance to a certain type of threat. Gives X bonus to defense rolls against this category of attacks.

Prophet of Fate

Acts as the luck template but with infinite uses. Unique to Conduits bound to The Fate.

Luck

Allows X rerolls per encounter.

Aura of Fate

Grants Luck 2 to all nearby allies. Cannot be replicated without being bound to The Fate.

Eden

Stats change dramatically if standing on the planet of Eden instead of just dealing with the avatars.

Regeneration

Regenerates 1 health every 4/X turns (round down)

Pandem Cleansed

This pandem caster has been cleansed of their planar corruption and as a result can use all schools of magic again as well as ethi-technology. They can still open rifts to their native plane without accumulating corruption.

Druid

This character has access to druidic spells of X tier.

Minor Adaptation

Can allocate up to a total of X points into one or more minor templates at will.

Legendary Adaptation

Can allocate up to a total of X points into one or more legendary templates at will.

The Fate

Unique to Ankathi and cannot be replicated by any ability that imitates other templates. Cannot be disabled by any ability that disables templates. The Fate allows Ankathi to supersede all templates that effect rolls such as re-rolls or auto-succeses (except Indal's). They do not work in her presence unless she allows them to. Those within her blessing gain re-rolls to every roll they make as long as she remains present. She can grant Dare to Dream 1 to anyone she wishes while she is present up to two times per encounter. Any roll altering templates she allows to continue working is twice as effective in her presence.

Engineer (Golem)

Grants the character a bonus to rolls related to golem engineering.

Biology

Grants the character a bonus to rolls related to biology.

Fleet Command

Buffs any allied fleet he is in command of during fleet combat rolls.

Outlaw

Gains a bonus to crime and other outlaw-related rolls.

Advisor

Advisor, spouts wisdom and advice to the player character.

Tactical Specialist

Good at leveraging the strengths of specific agents to suggest how to complete their tasks.

Gather Information

Bonus to rolls for gathering information.

Hacking

Bonus to rolls for hacking.

The Chaudret

Mystical sword from the mythical Shaman's Shop integrated into Aryn's cybernetic arm by Daiheb. Chaudret and can spread computer viruses like a plague in ways never seen before. If she has physical access to a network, as long as it is hard-wired and doesn't use the aethernet, she can insert her computer plague into it and cause havoc with the systems. It doesn't always produce the exact results desired, but no anti-virus update will protect the computer from her machinations. Those who have Psionics 4 or higher are vulnerable to this virus as well.

Daiheb Consensus

Unlike normal arsenal, this character can raise offense for 1 point per color (only offense). They can also trade all points of this template to trade it for Adaptation.

Queen of Ops

Grant a team buff template of your choice up to value of 2 (except Mastermind) if within communication range.

Escape Artist

Bonus to defense during retreat rolls.

Nevun Synapse

Synapse from the Nevun pools.

Highly Educated

Bonus to all types of knowledge rolls.

Fated to Be

If Ankathi or Vasia is more powerful than the other, the lower level sister gains double XP from all sources.

Monster Maker

Creates monsters.

Battlefield Tactics

Increase either offense or defense of allied forces during mass combat.

Guerilla Tactics

Increase both offense and survival by this amount when attacking with guerilla methods.

Demolitions

Bonus to rolls involving blowing stuff up.

Stone Style

During single combat, negate up to # damage to a minimum of 1. If only damage being dealt is 1, treat this character as having 7 health.

Water Style

During mass combat, negate up to # damage for entire team.

Echo Exerlus

Can consume unenchanted metal to gain more stacks of Instant Arsenal.

Instant Arsenal

Kensei

The White Lion

Sword from the mythical Shaman's Shop. Deals 1 damage on any roll higher than 6. On a hit that beats the opponents defense by at least 2 points, this weapon gains Destroyer 50.

Investigate

Gives bonuses to detective work.

Selona Weapon

Advanced ethi-enchanted, anti-alien specialized heavy weapon. Adds +2 to a character's Offense score and raises their Offense tier to Heavy (blue).

The Wrath

Indal has the unique ability to always roll a 17 on 3d6.

Mystical sword from the mythical Shaman's Shop. The wielder gains Annihilation 10. All attacks are considered melee attacks and have an effective range of 20 meters.

The Nomad

If piloting 'The Nomad' corvette, Taelwynn gains a bonus to her pilot skill.

The Ryner

Mystical sword from the mythical Shaman's Shop. Increases the wielder's Offense by 2, raises their Offense Tier to Siege, and grants +2 Lifesteal. When melee attacking the wielder can choose to release a projectile mirroring the shape of their slash that is treated like a melee attack.

Revenant Queen

All characters in the Revenants faction gain +1/+1 in this character's presence.

The Black Wolf

Mystical sword from the mythical Shaman's Shop. Gain a stack of instant arsenal for every opponent being faced in the same encounter capping at 10. Wielder makes a will save every time the blade is drawn to avoid going insane. If the save is failed, replace this character with 'The Black Wolf'. If a save on another mental affecting ability is failed, replace this character with 'The Black Wolf'. The character may voluntarily take and fail the will save at any time the weapon is drawn.

The Inaji

Mystical infantry cannon from the mythical Shaman's Shop. It is an infantry sized cannon with the power and range of a battleship. Raises the wielder's Offense Tier to Siege, attacks have an area of effect, and attacks can target characters attached to a squad.

Cute

It, he, or she is cute.

Mummy Rot

If an offense roll is successful, give target Mummy Rot. Reduces target offense and defense by 1 per successful attack stacking up to user template level. User gains lifesteal equal to stacks of mummy rot on hit against targets afflicted with mummy rot.

Nevun Rampage

Gain a random template or stat point for every damage taken. All directly controlled tier 1 drones and above gain these templates as well.

Nevun Stampede

Synapse allies no longer roll for distance to charge or sprint. Assume max roll.

Juggernaut

Mass destruction gives half bonus to offense against this character. AoE templates half their rolls against this character.

Impenetrable

Takes half damage from purple attacks. Takes 25% from blue. Cannot be damaged by anything lower.

Jesai

Can imitate any template they see in active use if it is derived from magic, takes an action but has no quantity limit per encounter. +5 def against magical attacks including ethi tech.

Isolation

Takes an action to utilize. Pulls target(s) into an alternate situation. Team buffs cannot effect anyone in the effect of isolation or vice versa. Pandem binds are exempt from this effect.

The Eternal

Unique to Decaelys and cannot be replicated by any ability that imitates other templates. Cannot be disabled by any ability that disables templates. The Eternal allows Decaelys to alter the speed at which time flows for any target. Capable of placing anything into true staisis or accelerating relative time. Any duration sensitive effects may be manipulated by this ability, Decaelys may use up to three actions per turn as long as only one is an attack, including triggering those of other characters. Decaelys may grant biological immortality or remove it. Decaelys can effect up to 1 planet and its atmosphere with this power at a time, provided they are not warded successfully. They manipulate time and turn economy in a turn based system - you get the point. Everything that takes an action or a round to do is within their domain to manipulate.

Counterstrike

When a successful defensive action is taken, this character immediately counter attacks up to x times. This doesn't cost an action, though does apply an additional defensive action penalty to their next roll.

Combo Artist

When a successful attack is landed, attack again with a growing action penalty up to x times.

Grandmaster

Action penalties for standard actions taken are not applied.

Perfect Adaptation

Unique to king Rahlken. When Rahlken fails to defend an attack, he may choose to take any stat total or template he desires from his attacker. Rahlken may imitate unique templates that say they cannot be imitated if he takes damage from a character with that template.

Super Slayer

Gain x bonus to offense and defense against a studied target. All successful attacks are critical hits. Natural critical hits are 4x damage. Character must have 7 stamina available.

Vloz Summoner

Summon X demons. Vloz demons are -1,-1 and every 5th demon is a hero unit. Trade 20 summons to summon a major demon instead. May be combined with other instances of the template as a ritual cast. Replace major demon with demon hero if user is a Vloz'Khress Val.

Cataclysm

Unique to Demon Queen Kharla. Cannot be replicated by any template that imitates other templates. Gives half X to offense stat at the cost of collateral damage against single targets. In mass combat, attack every enemy in play for a maximum of 1 damage per size starting at medium size. Cannot crit. Acts as mass destruction when Kharla is not Demon Queen Kharla.

Nomad Crew

Characters with this template cannot benefit from team aura templates, and they cannot give aura buffs to those without this template. Gain a stack of instant arsenal for every character with this template to every character with this template.

True Strike

This character never fails an attack roll. Roll anyways with +2 to critical range.

Nevun Festival

All drones under this character's control have Mass Destruction 2

Sniper

Character can target enemies regardless of block, their attacks are unaffected by bodyguard, and in mass combat they can ignore enemy units when choosing their target.

Model of Reality

Any time Arkaric or his allies would make an action, they may choose after seeing the opponents actions and results. They may also roll and change their action after seeing the results. All opposing Dare to Dream templates are disabled.

Commander

This character is excellent at working with minions. If they have a squad of 6 or more, the minions gain +x/+x

Mastermind

All allies gain +x to offense or defense as the recipient desires.

Armageddon

Unique to the Demon King. Cannot be replicated by any template that imitates of other templates. Can be used once per update. Attack everything in play. For every unit that dies, summon a heroic greater demon.

King's Crown

Unique to whichever Demon King currently reigns. Cannot be replicated by any template that imitates other templates. The Demon King has every demonic racial ability.

Lich Tarrasque

If the tarrasque fails a saving throw, it may choose to succeed instead. Any time the tarrasque is targeted by a magic effect, roll a d6. On a 1-2 take damage as normal, 3-4 the tarrasque is unaffected, 5-6 reflect the attack back at attacker. The lich-tarrasque is immune to physical damage. The Lich Tarrasque heals 1hp for every unit it kills.

The Wilds

Unique to Haziel and cannot be replicated by any ability that imitates other templates. Cannot be disabled by any ability that disables templates. The Wilds allows Haziel to rebuild her character sheet (including her race but excluding knowledge based templates like magic casting) up to her own level at the cost of 1 turn. While using this template, any racially unique template or properties can be copied except those of legendary racial bullshit (The terrasque/Rahlken/Silnian Empress/Demon King/etc.)

Prophet of The Wilds

Acts as regeneration 4. Grants a free legendary adaptation. Unique to Conduits bound to The Wilds.

Aura of Savagery

Grants Exploit 3 and inescapable 3 to all allied melee minions. Cannot be replicated without being bound to The Wilds.
