A former wife of a colonel who overtook their job when they became bedridden due to an infection. Her husband eventually died and the army didn't quite like her just assuming his rank so eventually she was replaced by someone with the proper credentials for the job. Though she still tells the story that she was once a colonel in the army. Kathryn eventually left for the frontier after her husband died, looking for a new start. Her idealism and discipline endeared her towards Olivia. Given the town is made up of such an eccentric cast of residents, Kathryn became the improvised lawman by default. Colonel for three days and formerly married to one was a lot more experience at being organized than anyone else in town had.

Kathryn is actually particularly good at handling first contact with unknown entities, having been the one to get the town's stranger residents settled in. She and her group of deputies have been in contact with the state marshall rather frequently due to her being considered an expert on the supernatural.

These days, she is a respected frontier legend for her knowledge and has become the face of an agency specializing in the contact, investigation, and handling for various supernatural entities, phenomena, and anomalies. She is one of the primary contacts for the federal rangers who handle similar issues across the frontier. In short, Rapidvale's bounty board has some of the strangest jobs.
