Strive is fun

Okay you can exercise that authority but you need to also decide what to exercise it on. I’ll go get your honey calm down.

Also with the whole current thing going on with the war with Haleh angle, its worth noting that Citlanal is still pretty much required for dealing with the Howling Horror, although we don’t know what part two of that requirement is. In case you wanted her to do anything with that…or you know…not do anything with that for a little while longer.

Kaya is apparently now some sort of party leader in the Asvald and has her own squid. Squad? What kind of a word is that? Whatever, she has her own squid.

So the problem with alerting the Thorin to the threat of the approaching Asvald is that they cannot outmaneuver the Asvald. Something something warbeasts. The Thorin wound up caught in the open on their path towards the northeast though they were too far away for the Hedin to help in the invasion so the odds were evened out a little further. It was a certain defeat for the Thorin but not as catastrophic as it might have been otherwise, with the Thorin alliance being split apart by the nature of the Asvald strategy.

The Volsung clan were pushed eastward in their escape while one of the other allied clans went west. Losvir himself was…technically captured. They have apparently had him tied down and just had everyone attempt to execute him one after another and after six days they gave up, having not scratched him at all. He might actually be immortal. Our report from Kaya says they’re taking him to the Vargr village to bury him in the ground where he’ll never get out even if he can’t die in there. Losvir claims this will be the third attempt to imprison him forever and doesn’t seem bothered by the idea.

Also Wehilani can’t fly an extended distance like that while carrying another person, a particularly feisty kobold perhaps but she is pretty sure she’ll die of exhaustion, cold, and hunger attempting to carry Alihana the entire way south to Ragniva.

Lukia is on the way north though its a long voyage to avoid the path of the Asvald while doing so.

Tehanau made a note that the Hedin clan has started moving south towards the Vargr village instead of returning home.

I suppose sometimes we forget that Cosz is not only one of the oldest monsters we have but as we saw on the plains, can be prone to…violent overreactions when angered.

Koamalu doesn’t really seem all that adversely affected by his encounter with Cosz actually. He just laughed and said that she has his vote for becoming the next chief protector should Hakenu’e ever lose the title.

It does appear if there was anything left of the wyvern that the elements have claimed it. That or Haleh did something specific with them.

Neither Esin nor Wehilani can really fly Hakenu’e the distance required to get anywhere meaningful and if they were to try and team up on the effort their wings are liable to hit each other and just bring them all to the ground.

Lokala’i has traveled to the Hedin village to duel all the people once more. Notably, it is mostly devoid of people. It seems they all left to go to war with the Thorin.

As for the Coszacatl matter, any actual judgement is the responsibility of the Nezatl. Though you are free to argue.

The problem with killing someone like the King is that no one has ever succeeded as far as I’m aware of. So… no idea how hard it is or if its even possible. Though if Alihana can hurt the Keeper it stands to reason that its possible, just that a significant effort will need to be undertaken. I suspect Icno, Haleh, and Ragniva would know more about it as they have dedicated their lives to doing such a thing, the same could be said of Xiomac. Unfortunately, no one has come close to successful and I don’t know what all the siblings are capable of or how they work. My interactions with the King were mostly related to my mark and my mission. I never really thought to ask him about his family life.

Also stop napping outside of my tent.

As far as I’m aware, the drain is an ability innate to some members of the Rahana…and I suppose our descendants. The primary issue with it is that the wielder has a maximum limit they can store before they kill themselves. This isn’t as great of an issue when healing more physical ailments as you can tell when you’re fine and good to go. Draining magic is the problem. If you were to try and drain me and could not expend the magic fast enough, you’d probably die.

As for moving the army onto the island, we do have a way. That is all you need to know. I’m sure you’ll find out someday one way or the other.

Each sacrificial ritual is unique to the person it is attuned to. All six rituals were created by the Oldest Man, as he is their expert on this sort of thing. The individuals of that blood line can use it to grant power as well as take power from the sacrifice. Notably, they can all do it differently as they so desire. According to Icno, most of the deities will allow the caster of the ritual to take one tenth of the sacrifices worth. This is what makes the Crow Folk special, the King is very generous and lets them take seven tenths. This is why even the newest members of the crows tend to be very powerful. This also makes the King one of the weakest of the six siblings… in certain terms at least. Each one of these creatures has a different specialty and a different gift. The King is the aspect of a warrior, so while he has less power than the others he is the most dangerous to fight one on one. He is also the only one who learned to fight for himself.

As for how they’re performed, as I have heard the Nahua have massive temples the likes of which have not been seen anywhere else in the world that shine bright under the sun. Their priests sacrifice the offerings there every day.

As for what you will find to the east…I suppose its no harm to tell you that in detail. This is more of Icno’s specialty than mine though. However, there is the Golden Dead who is the ruler of the empire, the White Howl who is kind of the one who just wants to reunite the family, and All That Crawls who is obsessed with the construction of a large civilization. The empire is his creation and so are all of the tribes.

We still haven’t actually told Hallvard of Zhuan and Caowei’s real associations, so they’re just following him around still along with the rest of the tribe’s vanguard.

Also I’m still here…you’re kind of quiet this week.
