Races

There are many sentient races, in fact there's too many. There are notable themes depending on their galactic origin, for example most sentients from the Sol system are humanoid (humans, centaurs, elves, etc.). It is important to understand racial standing and relations when choosing a character as you and your parties social standings could heavily impact the campaign depending on your area. A well mixed party would have someone for every situation but would be strongly disliked by racists.

It should also be noted that while the system is often fairly similar in it's produces sentients the planar origin can also drastically affect the make up of the sentients. Zona-natives from the Sol system are very different from Necrosi and their biological needs also vary greatly. Read this page on crossbreeding for information regarding...well...that.

Each race lists its system and planar origin, for now we only have one system's races added though. For players who are not entirely familiar with the setting, visiting the cosmology section might help understand what the planes are.

Races of the Sol System

Demon
Sol System: Finsir

Demons are innately powerful from birth but are prey to many strange limitations and controllable by certain people. They aren't inheritly evil though the stigma stays with them forcing them to take disguise if they should wish to fit in. Either rarely discovered outside of their home or pirates.

Dragonborn
Sol System: Zonaricht, Rixa

A mix between true dragons and other humanoids they have mated with. They are physically strong and intelligent, though prone to desire adventure and action. There are few scholars but many soldiers and sports legends within their genus. Also known to serve as explorers and colonists.

Drow
Sol System: Zonaricht, Vermasih

The infamous dark elves, known for stealth, cunning, and deceit. The Drow have a mixed following amongst other races, Some detest them and yet others hail them as heroes. They compose some of the most dangerous special operatives and powerful politicians.

Dwarf
Sol System: Zonaricht

Dwarves are short, stout, and physically strong creatures. They also hold the honor of being some of the best craftsmen from their native system and amongst the best in the galaxy as well. However, their social standing is rather low due to their history of slavery and aggressive drunken tendencies.

Elf
Sol System: Zonaricht, Rixa, Vermasih

The elves are contestable as the highest ruling class of their system, their only rival being the drow. Long-lived and elegant they have advanced well through politics and science. Their relations with the other races of their system is one of control though little friendliness with the lower class.

Gnoll
Sol System: Vermasih

The fluffy monsters of Nelmar are surprisingly civilized despite their appearence. They have slid around in the social hierarchy but retained a neutral ground by a standing pact with the elves that rule their system. Their intelligent minds and strong bodies open a vast amount of options for them.

Human
Sol System: Rixa, Vermasih, Zonaricht

The most standard humanoid of the system that most others seemed derived from is short lived, ambitious, and stubborn. They are adaptable and intelligent though prone to strong emotional judgements. They are now strongly tied with the Drow politically and excellent disposable soldiers.

Illithid
Sol System: Vermasih, Zonaricht

One of the most mentally gifted species from the Sol System and naturally talented with psionics. Illithids have blended into society as scholars, scientists, educators, as well as many office positions. While fragile, the frequency with which they master magic has left them more then capable.

Orc
Sol System: Rixa, Vermasih, Zonaricht

One of the most physically imposing of the humanoid races. Orcs rapidly develop muscle starting at a very early age. Once thought of as barbaric savages they have revealed themselves to be capable of great discipline and are known for a constant initiative to be the best they can be.

Spirit
Sol System: Necrosi

Incorporeal beings hailing from Necrosi. These surreal creatures are sentient though frequently narrow-minded depending on the type of spirit. They generally possess armor and clothing to give themselves material form but are easily capable of very supernatural acts.

Troll
Sol System: Vermasih

The trolls descend from the jungle breed, intelligent, cunning, and physically gifted with regeneration. Only one species of troll remains alive but they thrive in modern sports and militaries due to their physical prowess. They are also known for being particularly good chefs.

Vampire
Sol System: Necrosi

The true vampires native to Necrosi have long since plagued the other planes. Their long lifespans and supernatural powers give them excellent opportunities despite their generally human appearence. There are several sub-species (known as bloodlines) that affect their strengths and weaknesses.

Zombie
Sol System: Necrosi

Once thought to only exist as mindless drones, the zombies of Necrosi proved their full sentience during the Era of the Purge when they petitioned Elven government not to start a war on those of them with sentient thought.
