Biography
As a gifted seer Ilex was not only one of the only humans to earn an accredited PhD in Psionics, he also managed to become one of the most powerful Psions of his time. He was hired onto the Lucidity Ritual project. After it's success, he abused his gifts of foresight and prediction to keep the obviously shadowy yoga cult profitable and clean. During the First NELTA Invasion of Sol Ilex was badly wounded during an attack and was separated from aid. He used his psionics to break, twist, and contort his body into shapes to mitigate damage to vital organs to survive long enough for someone to find him. He was placed into a life support tank and hooked up to a host of equipment that kept almost permanently immobilized. Over time he had his tank customized, using his machinery to support using his powers in overdrive.
After the hidden master of the Cult of Lucidity went missing and followers began to fracture into splinter cults, Ilex continued to be the accountant and siphoned enormous amounts of money into hidden accounts as he saw the writing was on the wall. Lacking the personal charisma and physical presence necessary to lead a cult, he instead funded his favorite splinter and founded a number of additional companies, including New Age, focusing on the research of Sahad magic. After taking over the planet of Que when its residents made missteps with the Silnians it was containing, Ilex entered an ichor pool and transformed into a Silnian cat. Tired of living his life in a bowl, now he is the cat watching the fish in the tank.
