Biography
A member of a formerly extinct species, found trapped in a medical pod that sustained her life for thousands of years aboard Diadem. Upon realizing that her people have been gone for sixteen thousand years, she wound up taking a job at VSEC for lack of any other opportunities and any guidance was better than being lost and alone in a new galaxy. She was a former soldier in her old life, having fought in the Terlim wars that changed the galaxy all those years ago even if she did not remain around to see the conclusion of the war.
Her race has a unique method of interfacing with mana, allowing them to interact specifically with the traces of mana that are left behind by other operations. Science aside, Sarrai has the ability to speak with and control machines in much the same way a druid can interact with organics. This is rooted in arcane and psionic abilities rather than pandem. Specifically her abilities are most effective with Diadem's machine beasts, which were manufactured with the intent of being useful and easy to work with for her people.
She is still very much constantly confused about all of the events of the galaxy that she missed out on, as well as its modern anarchic and deteriorating state. Though in her own time she was a part of a massive galactic civilization that spanned across hundreds of stars. She is no stranger to aliens or strange technologies and blends into VSEC with ease. She is often unimpressed with Sol's lack of certain technologies that were commonplace among her own people, but impressed by their very different types of magic. Sarrai often spends her time looking for information about Sol, having now become a member of the Federation she tries to understand what kind of culture she has been dropped into since her own is long gone. Sarrai is close friends and significantly attached to Eerihild, who rehabilitated her after she left the pod mentally unstable.
